Legalities

Ellis Events©(formerly Costumed Creativity Entertainment) is an independent company founded by Liam Ellis (2020), Ellis Events©(2024). All Staff that are employed by Ellis Events are all Basic Disclosure and barring service checked and are all eligible to work around minors. However we haven't looked into the history of each employee and we state that every employee is responsible for their own actions, any negative actions caused by employees may lead to legal action and termination. Staff will not tolerate any abuse. Any abuse will lead to staff being dismissed, you may lose the right to a refund and you will lose your deposit. The logo of Ellis Events©(2024) is for the use of Ellis Events only.

Health & Safety

Although Ellis Events take every precaution to avoid any accidents, unfortunately accidents can happen. Ellis Events hold no responsibility regarding any accidents that may occur during an event whether is be employee or public. At every event Ellis Events are there to do a job, Ellis Events are not responsible for looking after minors. Staff are no child minders or baby sitters and are not responsible if minors get into any accidents during an event. (DJ) All public must stay away from DJ set unless authorized by a member of staff, this is due to a) wires / leads being a tripping hazard B) the equipment used by the DJ staff are expensive C) can cause injury to Public if (a) is ignored. (characters) Big Mascots e.g. Baz bunny are not authorised to go on bouncy houses, this is due to to potential damage to Characters as well as overheating and also ruining the magic of the character if the actor in the costume is exposed. Big mascots are also advised not to speak and should have a chaperones at events with them. Some Costumed Characters have limited view so put in mind that, if not given space, injury may occur for actor or public.  (face paint) Staff should be advised on any allergens before face painting commence. Staff cannot be held reasonable for any allergic reactions if not advised. (balloon modelling) it is advised that children / minors are supervised when playing with balloons, Staff are not responsible for looking after Children / minors. When playing with Balloons be advised, balloons can be a Choking hazard, Keep balloons away from mouths. *Caution* party bags contain small wrapped confectionary as well as small toys and these can be a choking hazard.

Disk Jockey Hire

Bookings are to be booked 4 weeks in advance minimum, deposit to be made on booking, event to be paid in full 2 weeks prior to event date. DJ's subject to availability. If you have a setlist, make sure setlist is given at least 2 weeks in advance, DJ cannot guarantee to play every track stated on setlist. Public are not to access the DJ set area unless authorized to do so. Be cautious around equipment, any damages caused by your party, you will be charged for the damage costs. When doing karaoke, listen to the DJ's instructions. Our DJ's are entitled to a 20 min uninterrupted break per shift. When hiring DJ maximum work time is 4 hours. 

Costumed Character hire

Bookings are to be booked 4 weeks in advance minimum, deposit to be made on booking, event to be paid in full 2 weeks prior to event date. Characters subject to availability. Characters are limited but we strive to grow with more. All actors try to represent characters as accurate as possible, cannot guarantee that characters are 100% accurate. Our actors are entitled to a 20 minute uninterrupted breaks during shift. Maximum work hours for characters is 4 hours. The services (30m) all children get a meet and greet with a hired character for 30 minutes, includes goody bags and the special child gets a present. (1hr) all children get a meet and greet with a hired character for 60 minutes, includes goody bags and the special child gets a present. (full) all children get a meet and greet with a hired character for maximum of 4hrs (480 minutes), includes goody bags and the special child gets a present. standard price based on 10 children, parties larger than 10 children will incur in additional fees. Mascots are not to be on a bouncy house / castle this is due to overheating, potential damage to the costume and ruin of the magic if actor is exposed. 

Facepainting

Bookings are to be booked 4 weeks in advance minimum, deposit to be made on booking, event to be paid in full 2 weeks prior to event date. Painters subject to availability. Tell Costumed Creativity Entertainment of any allergens regarding paint, Costumed Creativity Entertainment will not be held accountable if consumer has allergic reactions if not told in advance. Painting staff (if asked) will test paint on consumer to see if they are allergic before face painting, the process is that staff paint a little on left or right arm and see if it reacts within 5 minutes. Painting staff have been trained in face painting but cannot guarantee 100% accuracy for characters, themes, animals etc, characters, themes, animals etc are also limited. For painting services, painters are paid by the hour with 20 minute uninterrupted break. When booking make sure to state how long you need a painter for (maximum is 4 hours). 

Deposit

Deposit will be taken on every booking. The total deposit will be 50% of booking total for example hired character for 30 minutes is £70 we would take £35 deposit. If the event is cancelled less than 2 weeks prior to event you will get refund but no deposit. Any abuse to staff (verbal or physical) will not be tolerated and you will lose your deposit. 

Refunds and Cancelation Policies

You have the right to cancel any event and receive a full refund if the event date is more than 2 weeks prior to the event, if the event is cancelled less than 2 weeks prior to event you will receive refund but will lose your deposit. Any abuse whether it be verbal or physical caused to any of our staff, you may lose your chance to refund and will lose your deposit. If after event you feel you are unsatisfied with the service you received, you have 7 days after event to dispute. Once you have requested a refund, we will open an investigation on the stated reason for cancelation. Ellis Events have the right to reject any refund investigation. If investigation is successful you will receive refund within 28 working days. 

Agreement

By booking made with Ellis Events will mean that you automatically agree to these conditions, you will be Told to read the terms and conditions before you book. Ellis Events will assume that you have read them successfully on booking with us.
